Jesus Teolbaldo Ortega, a 27-year-old resident of Lamont, California, tragically lost his life on May 20, 2018, due to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred late Sunday night, just before 10:30 PM, in the area of Gail Marie Drive off Main Street. Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire and found Ortega suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Kern Medical, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
