On the evening of July 21, 2017, 17-year-old Abraham Rubio was tragically shot and killed in Lamont, California. The incident occurred around 8:02 p.m. when deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 8100 block of Paradise Road following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Rubio suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Kern Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
