James Wakefield, aged 58, was fatally shot on May 9, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the Leonidas neighborhood, where police responded to a report of gunfire around 9:53 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Wakefield with gunshot wounds, and despite medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
