On August 1, 2017, 44-year-old Terrance Johnson died in New Orleans after sustaining injuries from a shooting that had occurred earlier on July 13, 2017, in the 3900 block of Ford Street. Johnson was initially shot while traveling in his vehicle, but he succumbed to his injuries after weeks in the hospital. The case was later classified as a homicide. Kevin Foots was identified as the suspect in the shooting, and he was arrested on July 30, 2017, by the NOPD and U.S. Marshals.
