Bryan Martin Mendoza, a 21-year-old Latino, was tragically killed on December 15, 2018, in the Florence-Firestone area of South Los Angeles. According to reports, Mendoza was at a nightclub located at the corner of Florence Avenue and Graham Avenue when a fight broke out inside the venue. The altercation spilled out into the street, and Mendoza, along with three other patrons, got into a car and drove away from the scene.
