On September 17, 2011, Darrion Lebeuf, aged 16, was shot and killed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred while Darrion was reportedly on his way to buy a birthday gift for his mother, a tragic circumstance that highlighted the senseless nature of the violence.
