Trevor D. Irby, aged 25, tragically lost his life on July 28, 2019, during a mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California. Trevor, originally from Romulus, New York, was attending the festival with friends when the incident occurred. He was one of three victims who were fatally shot, alongside Stephen Romero, 6, and Keyla Salazar, 13. The shooting took place on the last night of the three-day event, which is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and community spirit.
