altercation unfolded near Ya Ya Automotive Repair, the place where Brasley had been employed for about three years. During this dispute, he was subjected to a severe beating. In the aftermath, a yet-to-be-identified individual transported Brasley to the corner of Elysian Fields and North Claiborne Avenues and made a call for emergency assistance. Paramedics arrived on the scene and quickly transported him to Tulane Medical Center in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite their efforts, Eric Brasley Sr. succumbed to his injuries just a few hours later. An autopsy would later reveal the cause of his death to be blunt force trauma to his head and neck.
