Brice Parker, 45, was shot and killed inside a Mid-City home in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the early hours of Tuesday, June 19, 2012; he was a Black man. Police said the shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. in the 300 block of North Miro Street, and Parker was rushed to a hospital but did not survive. Detectives worked the scene through the morning, gathering what they could from a quiet residential block that had suddenly turned into a crime scene.
