In the heat of a New Orleans summer, the story of Tanyana Elliot, a 33-year-old Black woman, came to a tragic end. Her family last saw her on the evening of Monday, June 18, 2012. Two days later, on June 20, her decomposed body was discovered inside a pickup truck at the Wind Run Apartments, located in the 12100 block of the North I-10 Service Road.
