Deshan Lamar Washington, a 43-year-old Black man, was tragically shot and killed on July 3, 2020, in the 2100 block of East 115th Street in Watts, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Washington was in a parking lot within the Imperial Courts public housing development around 1:20 a.m. when a dispute erupted between his group and another.
