On a tragic Friday in New Orleans, July 27, 2012, a mother, her son, and her daughter-in-law were found shot to death in a triple homicide in the 7th Ward. The victims were identified as 58-year-old Consuela Lewis, her 26-year-old son Kevin Lewis, and his 28-year-old wife, LaChandra Lewis. The African American family was discovered in the downstairs apartment of a two-story home in the 1900 block of Old Prieur Street.
