On August 24, 2020, Alex Renee Cardona, aged 27, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting in North Sacramento, California. The incident occurred when Christopher Berger, a member of a rival gang, drove up to a residence where Cardona and three other men were standing outside. Berger fired 11 shots from a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun, striking Cardona in the head and fatally wounding him. The other three men were also shot multiple times but survived the attack.
