Ruben Jose Vega, a 34-year-old resident of Bakersfield, California, tragically lost his life on January 2, 2021. The incident occurred in East Bakersfield, where Vega was found with apparent gunshot wounds on Oregon Street. Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 3:38 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
