Martell "OG YD" Dean, a 37-year-old rapper from San Diego, was tragically killed in a freeway shooting on February 20, 2021. Dean was driving on southbound Interstate 805 near Imperial Avenue around 2:20 AM when he and another passenger in his vehicle were shot. The incident left Dean fatally injured, and despite efforts by first responders to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The other passenger in the car was also shot but survived the attack.
