Elio Avendano, a 23-year-old resident of Selma, California, tragically lost his life on August 28, 2021. His death marked the first homicide in Selma for that year. Elio was found with multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex in the city. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m., following reports of a disturbance and shots fired near the Lakes Apartment Complex. Despite the prompt arrival of officers, Elio succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
