Robert Mendoza, a 60-year-old resident of Lincoln, California, was found dead on November 26, 2021, in an embankment within the Spenceville Wildlife Area. Initially classified as a "suspicious death," the case quickly escalated into a homicide investigation. The Yuba County Sheriff's Office led the investigation, which revealed that Mendoza had been killed by a gunshot wound. This discovery prompted a deeper probe into Mendoza's personal connections and activities leading up to his death.
