On November 26, 2021, the body of 28-year-old Leonel Rodriguez was discovered outside an apartment complex on 6th Street in San Joaquin, California. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 1:00 PM reporting an injured person lying outside the building. Upon arrival, deputies found Rodriguez had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene. The nature of his injuries led investigators to immediately open a homicide investigation.
