Michael Arthur Coleman, a 30-year-old deputy sheriff with the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on March 25, 1982, during a narcotics raid. Coleman was part of a Metro Narcotics Task Force team serving a search warrant at the residence of Renoldo Black and Karen Frances Allen. The raid turned deadly when Allen, 31, fired three shots, one of which struck Coleman under his right arm, causing fatal damage to his aorta.
