Jessie Ramon Cipres-Ambriz, a 15-year-old from Exeter, California, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2022. Jessie was attending a house party in Exeter when an argument escalated into a deadly shooting. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 1 AM, at a residence on Morgans Avenue near Avenue 278. During the altercation, someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, resulting in Jessie being fatally shot. Another victim, a 23-year-old man, was also injured but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Tulare County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into the shooting, seeking to identify and apprehend the shooter. Despite the presence of both teenagers and adults at the party, only about ten people stayed behind to speak with detectives. The authorities believe that there were witnesses who could provide crucial information about the incident but have yet to come forward. The Sheriff's Office has urged anyone with information to contact them, emphasizing that tips can be given anonymously.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Jessie's death. The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement officials continuing to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. The community has been called upon to assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice, as the loss of such a young life has deeply affected those who knew Jessie and the broader Exeter community. The case highlights the challenges law enforcement faces in solving crimes where witnesses are reluctant to come forward, and it underscores the importance of community cooperation in achieving justice for victims and their families.
