Jesus Munoz Mejia, a 21-year-old resident of Delano, California, tragically lost his life on May 22, 2022. The incident occurred at a residence on Rosa Court, near Robert F. Kennedy High School, around 10:45 p.m. Mejia was shot and subsequently transported to Adventist Health Delano, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The Kern County Sheriff's Office identified Mejia as the victim but has not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
