On June 18, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Delano Police Department officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon near West 13th Avenue and Concord Street in Delano, California. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with a wall. The driver, Mario Moreno, 26, of Delano, was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
