Erika Lares, aged 40, tragically lost her life on August 14, 2022, in Bakersfield, California. The incident occurred at the Vagabond Inn on Colony Street, where Lares and another individual, Cristobal Rojas Hernandez, were shot. The shooting took place around 7:24 p.m., and Lares was pronounced dead at the hospital approximately an hour later. Hernandez, who was also critically injured, succumbed to his injuries the following day at Kern Medical.
