On September 29, 2022, Joese Lopez-Palomar, a 44-year-old resident of Fresno, California, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred in the afternoon around 2:17 p.m. when the Fresno Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation in the 4600 block of East Iowa Avenue, near Maple and Tulare Avenues.
