Hannisha Willis, a 31-year-old resident of Antioch, California, tragically lost her life on December 27, 2022, in a fatal shooting incident. The events leading to her death were rooted in a complex and volatile love triangle involving her next-door neighbor, Serico Justice, and a man who was romantically involved with both women. On the day of the incident, Antioch police responded to a call reporting an altercation between Willis and Justice on Mandarin Way. Upon arrival, officers found Willis with a gunshot wound to the head, lying on the front lawn. Despite efforts to save her, Willis succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The investigation revealed that both women had been dating the same man, who lived nearby and would frequently visit both households. According to Justice, the confrontation began when Willis allegedly harassed her, leading to a heated argument. During the altercation, Willis reportedly punched Justice, who was carrying a firearm at the time.
