Earl Metcalf, a 62-year-old custodian, tragically lost his life on December 30, 1974, during a mass shooting at Olean High School in Olean, New York. The incident began when Anthony Barbaro, a 17-year-old honor student and member of the high school rifle team, entered the school and made his way to the third floor.
