On a cold January evening in Staten Island, New York, the life of 58-year-old Jeanne Kane, a woman who had once graced television screens as a singer, was brought to a violent and tragic end. On January 30, 2007, Kane was fatally shot while in a parking lot. A former member of the 1960s singing group The Kane Triplets, she was a mother and a sister, whose life was cut short in a premeditated act of violence.
