On July 14, 2015, 23-year-old African American male Kerry Green was fatally shot outside the Elm Grove Garden Apartments located at 8770 Elm Grove Garden Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Police responded to reports of gunfire shortly after midnight and discovered Kerry Green suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time of his death, Kerry Green resided at 358 Rivercrest Avenue in Baton Rouge.
