Joseph P. Lawrence Jr., aged 54, tragically passed away on October 24, 2014, in Cheektowaga, NY. His death was the result of a violent incident involving his downstairs neighbor, Thomas Szczesniak. On the evening of October 24, Lawrence was shot once in the stomach by Szczesniak during an altercation at their residence on Woodell Avenue. Lawrence was immediately transported to Erie County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
