On a cold December afternoon in 2014, a Brooklyn neighborhood was shattered by a sudden act of violence that claimed the life of Calvin Terrance George. The 43-year-old man was sitting alone in his silver minivan on Rogers Avenue in East Flatbush when the tranquility of the day was abruptly broken. It was approximately 4:30 p.m. on December 15th when a man approached the parked vehicle and fired multiple shots through the rear window, striking George in the neck.
