Douglas Mess, a 52-year-old farmer from Attica, NY, was found dead on April 19, 2015. His body was discovered buried in a manure pile on the farm he owned and operated with his wife, Charlene Mess. The investigation revealed that Douglas had been brutally murdered. He was first struck multiple times with a pitchfork, rendering him helpless but still alive.
