In the late summer of 2015, the life of a 71-year-old man, David Stiner, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. On August 16th, Stiner, a retired auto mechanic, was patiently waiting for a friend in the passenger seat of his pickup truck, which was parked outside a convenience store on James Street in Syracuse, New York. The quiet afternoon was shattered when two men approached the vehicle with the intention of robbing him.
