On a Monday afternoon in October 2015, Joseph Daniels, an 18-year-old male, was standing at the corner of Broadway and Woltz Avenue in Buffalo, New York. It was there that his life was abruptly cut short in a violent encounter. At approximately 1:15 p.m. on October 26, 2015, Daniels was fatally shot. The incident was a stark reminder of the gun violence that can erupt on city streets in broad daylight.
