Juwan Tavares, a 16-year-old from New York, tragically lost his life on March 27, 2016, after being shot in the head outside the Jefferson Houses, a public housing complex in East Harlem. The incident occurred on the evening of March 25, 2016, when an argument between two groups escalated into violence. Juwan was critically injured and rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he fought for his life for two days before succumbing to his injuries.
