In the summer of 2016, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm in the Ocean Hill section of Brooklyn, leaving a neighborhood stunned and a man's life tragically cut short. Robert Thomas, a 46-year-old Black male, was standing on the sidewalk in front of 207 MacDougal St. on June 15th when he was fatally wounded.
