In the summer of 2016, the life of 33-year-old Binjeem Russell was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. On the early morning of July 20th, Russell was near Herbert Von King Park when he was shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
