Ricky Ward, a 37-year-old resident of Hempstead, NY, was tragically shot and killed on December 2, 2016. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. on Elizabeth Avenue, where police responded to a ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival, officers found Ward with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
