Gevontay Owens-Grant, a 24-year-old resident of Newburgh, New York, tragically lost his life on February 12, 2017, during a violent altercation at a Valentine's Day-themed party. The incident occurred in the basement of a building that also housed a church. During the party, a confrontation escalated, leading to multiple gunshots being fired both inside and outside the venue.
