In the spring of 2017, a frantic search for a missing teenager in Brooklyn, New York, tragically ended with the death of an innocent man. Akeem Booker, a 28-year-old male, was fatally shot on the night of May 1, 2017, in the Canarsie neighborhood. The incident, which also left another man wounded, was the result of a confrontation initiated by a father who mistakenly believed Booker was involved in his daughter's disappearance.
