near Avenue N and Rockaway Parkway. Paul Davis, a 49-year-old man, was desperately looking for his 16-year-old daughter. His search led him to Booker's location, where an argument ensued. Davis wrongfully suspected Booker of having information about his daughter's whereabouts or being involved in her going missing. Tragically, it was later reported that the missing girl had been at that location just minutes before her father's arrival.
The heated exchange escalated, and Davis pulled out a firearm, shooting both Akeem Booker and another 53-year-old man. Booker was struck in the torso and was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand and thigh but survived the attack.
