Jonathan Olds, a 20-year-old man from Schenectady, New York, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2017. On that summer evening, Olds was among a crowd of about 30 people gathered outside the El Dorado bar on Crane Street. The scene turned chaotic when a man, later identified as 26-year-old Niam Dorvil, fired a 9mm semiautomatic pistol into the crowd.
