In the early morning hours of September 16, 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, ending the life of 20-year-old Donovan Frazier. The young man had just stepped out of Franklin's Finest Deli on Franklin Avenue after buying a ginger ale. It was approximately 4:25 a.m. when his life was cut short in a hail of bullets.
