Lana Florio, a 56-year-old resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, tragically lost her life on October 3, 2017. She was found critically injured from an apparent gunshot wound to the head at the Pleasant Valley Trout and Game Club. Despite the prompt arrival of deputies from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, Florio was pronounced dead at the scene. The subsequent autopsy confirmed that the cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
