Sherwood (Prince) Beverly, a 51-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was tragically shot and killed on January 28, 2018, while sitting in a Mercedes SUV with friends near the Van Wyck Expressway in South Ozone Park, Queens. The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. as Beverly and his companions were stopped at a red light.
