In a heartbreaking act of violence, one-year-old Laylah Briggs of Brooklyn, New York, had her life cut short on March 14, 2018. The little girl, who was just beginning to form her first words, was a source of joy to her family. She had big, beautiful brown eyes and a love for dancing and eating. Her mother fondly remembered her playful nature, recalling a time she found Laylah by the open refrigerator, having taken a single bite out of a hotdog before placing it back.
