Matthew Osman Spooner, a 35-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on July 6, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 1:12 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Miro Street, where New Orleans Police Department officers discovered him unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head.
