On a summer evening in Brooklyn, New York, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace and ended the life of 25-year-old Neyon Hamilton. The fatal shooting occurred on July 9, 2018, on a street in the Flatbush neighborhood. When police responded to a 911 call shortly before 10:00 p.m., they discovered Hamilton lying unconscious and unresponsive in front of a building on East 55th Street, near Church Avenue.
