Nyran Plummer, a 12-year-old boy from Yonkers, New York, tragically died on April 13, 2019, after accidentally shooting himself in the head. The incident occurred at his apartment on Nepperhan Avenue, where Nyran was home alone except for a younger neighbor who was in another room. According to police reports, Nyran found a .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol, which was not legally possessed, and accidentally fired two shots.
