In the early hours of a Saturday in April 2019, a street corner in the Queens neighborhood of Corona turned into a scene of chaos and violence that ultimately claimed the life of 26-year-old Juan Flores. The Hispanic man was fatally shot in the chest during a large brawl that erupted near the intersection of 108th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
