On a late spring day in Utica, New York, the life of 27-year-old Nicholas Talerico came to a sudden and violent end. On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, Nicholas, a male resident of Utica, was shot and killed during what authorities described as a burglary in the nearby town of Deerfield. He was not alone in this fateful act; his 57-year-old aunt, Patricia Anne Talerico, was also shot and killed at the same scene. The two had entered a home on Maynard Drive, a decision that would prove fatal for both.
