On a late spring day in Utica, New York, the life of 27-year-old Nicholas Talerico came to a sudden and violent end. The homeowner, 64-year-old Ronald Stolarczyk, was present during the break-in and interrupted the burglary. It was then that he discharged a handgun, striking both Nicholas and Patricia.
