In the late hours of a Monday night in Rochester, New York, the life of 19-year-old Deandré Kyree Jenkins was tragically cut short. On June 10, 2019, shortly after 11:30 p.m., Jenkins was shot at least once in the torso on Fourth Street, in the vicinity of Garson Avenue. Emergency responders who arrived at the scene, near the bustling Rochester Public Market, pronounced him dead. The incident marked the city's 13th homicide of the year.
